Dr. Anita C.K. Lee

ACADEMIC AND RESEARCH BIO
Anita C.K. Lee has an interdisciplinary background in both her work and studies. Her main research interests are in cinema and media studies, literary and cultural theory, gender and sexuality, queer and lesbigay theory. Since 2006, Anita has taught gender and queer theory courses at HKU, English literature and research methods courses at HKU’s School of Professional and Continuing Education, and media appreciation courses at both the Hong Kong Baptist University and the Hong Kong Arts Centre. Being an academic researcher and industry practitioner, Anita’s professional experience in the media was gained before 1997, having served Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB), Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK), and Edko Films Ltd., in production, programming, and film advertising and promotion. Anita very much enjoys crossing over disciplines, teaching across curricula, and collaborating with faculty both within and outside campus.
