ACADEMIC AND RESEARCH BIO
Nicholas Y. H. Wong is a postdoctoral fellow in the Society of Fellows in the Humanities at the University of Hong Kong. He is writing a book on minority and state relations as understood in Chinese-Malaysian (Mahua) literature, and how its aesthetic forms recast the philosophical and political terms of minority difference in Southeast Asia. He translates fiction (some of which you might read in this course!), writes poetry and review essays on similar topics.
