Film Synopsis
Rhymes of Shui Hau records and documents the grannies' folk songs. Their lyrics evoke life of an agrarian community, inter-village marriages, and the impact of urbanisation. There is no written record on Shui Hau folk songs.

About the Producer: Dr Chloe Lai 黎穎詩博士
Dr Chloe Lai 黎穎詩博士 is a journalist-turned-urbanist. She is a PhD in Comparative Literature. History of the present is her favour way to see the world and conduct researches. A practitioner of sustainability, she believes knowledge transfer and heritage conservation are part of partial of social progress. She runs Integer Foundation Association Limited, Hong Kong’s first storytelling NGO, helps found a library with a strong focus on arts and humanities and chairs the Hong Kong Resource Centre of Heritage.
黎穎詩博士對於城市的研究始終其記者生涯。擁有比較文學博士學位。黎博士目前負責營運城市日記,該組織是香港首個以社區故事推動永續生活的非政府組織;她亦協助建立了一所人文圖書館,並為香港文化古蹟資源中心主席,期望藉知識傳承及文物保育推動社會進步。
About the Director: Fredie Chan 陳浩倫
Fredie Chan 陳浩倫 graduated from Lingnan University with a BA in Cultural Studies in 2006 and completed an MA in Film-Directing at the University of Edinburgh in 2022. He has worked as an independent documentary filmmaker and educator for 16 years. His latest film, The Dispute (2022), documented the housing crisis in the UK and received The Best Director's Award at the Cyprus Archaeological, Historical and Ethnographical Film Festival in 2023. From 2013 onward, Fredie directed a trilogy of documentary series on land issues in the New Territories. His films, Way of Paddy and Open Road after Harvest, document Hong Kong's organic farming and activism and have received awards and selections at film festivals worldwide.
陳浩倫在2006年畢業於香港嶺南大學文化研系學士課程,2022年往蘇格蘭愛丁堡大學深造電影導演碩士,擁有16年紀錄片創作及教學經驗。
最新紀錄片作品《原來我是不速客》(2022)拍攝英國住房危機議題,獲塞蒲路斯人類學影節最佳導演獎。 他於2013
開始製作《稻米三部曲》紀錄片系列,記錄新界有機農業及土地抗爭,首兩部長片作品《稻米是如何成的》(2013)及《收割,開路﹗》(2015)曾入圍多國影展及獎項;第三部曲《東北荒野外》將聚焦沙頭角、打鼓嶺邊境的生態與民間傳說。
