Experience from and at MALCS
The MALCS program provided me with a critical lens to better understand the world around me, deeply shaping my praxis and approach to community-engaged research and advocacy for racial equity. The interdisciplinary nature of the MALCS program, specifically its use of Marxist, feminist, and post-colonial frameworks, has influenced the content and design of be/longing’s anti-racist critical public pedagogy programs. The critical insight I gained during my studies inform our efforts to leverage the transformative power of storytelling and the arts to reshape public perception and influence policy for racialized communities in Hong Kong.
