PROFILE
Born in Taiwan and raised in Hong Kong, she went on to attend university in the U.S., and later earned an M.F.A. in Film, TV and Digital Media at Hong Kong Baptist University. During her film school studies, her works had been shown in local and international student film festivals. Upon graduation, she worked for local film production companies and film festivals in both Hong Kong and Taiwan.
She co-directed two RTHK commissioned animation shorts, among which Winter Rest (2010) was selected by international film festivals and was awarded Team Award at the 2010 Ecofilms in Rhodes, Greece. Her ADC funded short narrative film This File Cannot Be Deleted (2011) won Special Mention at the Fresh Wave International Film Festival in Hong Kong. She served as researcher and line producer for the TV documentary series Cities by the Sea – Hong Kong commissioned by the French-German Broadcasting company Arte in 2015. She has subsequently directed and produced numerous videos including the identity video Waste-to-Energy Journey (2016) for T. Park, and commissioned charity micro-films Grandfather 2.0 (2015) and A Little Splash (2017). Her latest output was Entropy Zero (2021), a video art piece in collaboration of visual artist Jessica Fu who specialized in site-specific installation art.
