PROFILE
Dickson Cheung received his PhD from the Hong Kong Studies programme at HKU. His doctoral research explores the philosophical implication of concepts such as “jianghu” and “noir” through an analysis of Hong Kong crime and gangster films and the cityscape’s extreme verticality and volumetricity.
