Tim Tim Cheng is the author of The Tattoo Collector (Nine Arches Press, 2024), a Poetry Book Society Recommendation. A poem from the collection was shortlisted for the Forward Prizes. Their pamphlet, Tapping at Glass (Verve, 2023), was shortlisted for The Kavya Prize and recommended by The Poetry Society. They co-edited Where Else: An International Hong Kong Poetry Anthology (Verve, 2023) and Magma 93: Liberation (2025).

Their work has been supported by Scottish Book Trust, Arts Council England, Creative Scotland, Edwin Morgan Trust, Southbank Centre, and The Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, among others. Their writing is published in POETRY, The Rialto, Poetry London, Asian American Writers’ Workshop, and elsewhere. They have produced interdisciplinary pieces ranging from libretto, indie music, to soundscapes.

They are on the translation advisory board of the other side of hope, a literary magazine amplifying migrants and refugees. Translations are featured by Words Without Borders, Wasafiri, West Kowloon Cultural District, M+, Books from Taiwan, among others. In Autumn 2025, they taught a course on ‘Poetry and Song’ at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
