Inroduction

The dissertation revisits ecoambiguity based on Han’s Between Mountains and Lakes to investigate ecoambiguity further and finds possible green strategies. First, it will investigate the divergences between ecoambiguity and Chinese ancient ecological ideas, and demonstrate that ecoambiguity corresponds with texts after industrialization. After the representation of ecoambiguity in the book, the research will figure out the cause of ecoambiguity from the perspective of eco-Marxism to dig out possible paths to a green world. Eventually, the research discovers that ecoambiguity is incompatible with texts before industrialization while ecoambiguity fits texts after industrialization. The cause of ecoambiguity is highly related to the drawbacks of capitalist society from the perspective of eco-Marxism. The research successfully delimits the temporal scope of ecoambiguity, deepens the understanding of the formation of ecoambiguity on account of eco-Marxism, and predicts possible paths to a green globe. Coordinated cooperation with developed countries and developing countries is necessary.

The vision of ecological practices is fixed on certain angles and ignores the whole system like economy, politics, and class. However, China’s respecting nature is set in anthropocentrism limited by productivity, mode of production, and the call of the times.

And based on ecoambiguity’s revising ecological imagination, such manifestation of running the logic provides meaningful directions for ecoliterature in some aspects like world outlook, mode of operation, and productivity.

Conclusion

To sum up, the study identifies that ecoambiguity is incompatible with texts before industrialization and doesn’t correspond with Chinese ancient ecological ideas. Based on the theory of ecoambiguity it discovers that six dimensions of ecoambiguity exist in Han’s Between Mountains and Lakes, which demonstrates the possibility of ecoambiguity in Chinese texts after industrialization. And then it confirms that ecoambiguity derives from the drawbacks of capitalist society from the perspective of eco-Marxism. Through the research, it unveils that the solution to ecoambiguity is to improve the capitalist system and offers ecoliterature effective experience.
