Biography
I graduated with a major in English, specializing in English education, but my undergraduate dissertation focused on literature. This was the starting point of my academic journey, sparking my desire to explore literature and culture more deeply. This is also the reason I came here. I clearly remember a professor encouraging us to try something different, urging us to explore new ideas. This advice inspired and motivated me to write my dissertation on the topic of pet-woman relationships, something I had never considered before. While it was challenging, it was also incredibly rewarding. Through this experience, I realized that literature and culture are deeply connected to every aspect of life and that everyone can relate to them in some way. This connection has driven me to further explore the literary field.
Experience at MALCS
I believe that the academic journey is about more than just learning and gaining knowledge. It’s also about meeting people who will influence you in the future. We’re here together because we share the same passion and love for what we do. It’s as if the saying, "You will eventually meet your kindred spirits," has come true here. With the guidance of our professors, I’ve been able to step into a vibrant literary and cultural landscape, one that offers both challenges and encouragement. Surrounded by friends, I’ve experienced the powerful magic of discussions and casual conversations. I will always remember the days we talked about dreams, the future, reality, and our dissertations while sitting by the sea in Kennedy Town. The breeze there reminds me of the time when I felt happy, free, confused, and anxious all at once.
