Experience at MALCS

MALCS was a transformative chapter in my life. What makes it so important is that it actually opened my perspective and taught me that there is no absolute "right" or "normal." I am especially grateful to professors like Dr. Winnie Yee, Dr. Esther Yau, and Dr. Jason Ho, who inspired me to think critically and encouraged me to embrace creativity. The program’s robust theoretical training helped me understand how cultural representations shape and are shaped by our world, enabling me to question and challenge problematic norms while striving for better practices. Beyond academics, MALCS connected me with an incredible network of peers whose insights continue to inspire me. These friendships have had a lasting impact, enriching both my personal and professional journeys well beyond graduation.
