Biography
Currently working as a travel designer and part-time independent English teacher specializing in intensive reading, oral English, and writing. I’m also a social media influencer on RedNote, where I’ve turned what I’ve learned in the MALCS program into practice by creating videos, sharing my learning experiences, and offering new thoughts and opinions on books and cultural events. Passionate about books, nature, popular culture, and embracing meaningful chaos, I’m a proud feminist, literature lover, and story chaser. I thrive on deep thoughts, new connections, and occasionally write novels and poems. From the rivers of Sichuan to the unexpected shores of Hong Kong, I believe in the magic of fate – how we are meant to cross paths in ways we never imagined.
Experience at MALCS
MALCS is a program for those navigating uncertainty and searching for truths in life. It’s where I found lifelong friends, unique ideas, and the most supportive, resourceful professors. This program encourages bravery, empowering students to recognize injustice and bias in the world. It’s also a place that nurtures the soul – where humor thrives alongside critical self-reflection. MALCS isn’t just for those who love theory; it’s also for those who seek practical skills. I learned both literature and film, mastering writing as well as the art of shooting documentaries and movies. These skills have been invaluable as I build my career. It’s a space where you’re not just learning but actively preparing for the future, evolving, and constantly growing.

Words for Fellow MALCS Students and Potential Applicants
Follow your heart and listen to it. Choose what you love and dive deep into it. Read more, take notes, and don’t confine yourself to the small room of your own thoughts. Go out, talk with friends, and learn through sharing your search and hearing about their own journeys. You’ll always discover more when you exchange ideas and perspectives.
