A special topic will be introduced each time the course is offered, depending on the instructor. The topic will be announced prior to registration; students can also query the instructor or dept. before registration.\u00a0 Recent classes include cosmopolitanism, Marx-Freud-Nietzsche, new media theory, and more. The class will be conducted in a seminar mode requiring students\u2019 active participation.
